Welcome to Main Street Social — a fresh take on nightlife, hospitality, and connection in the heart of downtown Perry.
The Founders
John Cato & Ruben Torres
What started years ago as conversations between longtime friends and entrepreneurs John Cato and Ruben Torres has evolved into something much bigger. The two connected over a shared passion for business, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences. After John acquired Oliver Perry's in late 2025, he approached Ruben and his partners about becoming involved in the next chapter of the Main Street space.
As time passed and different business paths emerged, it became clear that John and Ruben shared the same vision for what the future could become. That vision is now Main Street Social — the modern evolution of the venue that locals have known for years, completely reimagined with a more refined atmosphere, elevated service, and a stronger focus on entertainment and hospitality.
The Vision
Reimagined from the Ground Up
Inspired by the success and standards established at Oliver Perry's, the team collaborated closely with their chef to curate a tapas-style menu designed to complement the experience perfectly. From handcrafted cocktails and shareable plates to live entertainment and an upscale social atmosphere, every detail was intentionally designed to create the perfect night out.
Guests will still recognize many familiar faces behind the bar, but the transformation throughout the space brings an entirely new energy — warm, inviting, stylish, and relaxed. With beautiful renovations, an impressive new bar top, enhanced entertainment, and a commitment to quality service, Main Street Social is raising the standard for nightlife in Middle Georgia.

Meet Rico
Every great lounge needs a legend — and at Main Street Social, that legend has four legs, a passport, and absolutely no interest in following rules. Rico is Ruben's French Bulldog, brought home all the way from Puerto Rico in 2024. He arrived on the island speaking Spanish, adapted to Georgia without missing a beat, and has been bilingual ever since. Whether you say "sit" or "siéntate," he'll ignore you either way.
Ruben will tell you Rico was there for every late night of planning, every early morning of construction, and every anxious moment before opening day. While the crew was laying floors and stocking shelves, Rico was supervising from the bar top — unimpressed by the chaos, unbothered by the noise, and absolutely certain the new bar top was built specifically for him. He was right.
He's got opinions about the music, a sixth sense for when someone needs company, and a talent for making strangers feel like regulars. A true island dog in a Georgia lounge — Rico brings the warmth of Puerto Rico to every corner of Main Street Social. Come say hello. He'll greet you in whichever language he's feeling that night.

The Team
Meet Sara
Meet Sara — the heart behind the bar at Main Street Social. Over the past year, she's become a familiar face to our regulars, serving up handcrafted cocktails with the kind of consistency, personality, and attention to detail that keeps people coming back night after night.
Her dedication and leadership earned her a promotion to General Manager during the first quarter of this year. She continues to shape the experience at Main Street Social both behind the scenes and behind the bar — making sure every guest feels at home from the moment they walk in.
Sara has built a loyal following of guests — some who drive over an hour just for her signature craft cocktails and the atmosphere she creates. When she's not running the show, she's spending time with her two kids, traveling in the summer, or relaxing poolside.
